Call for Papers: Central States Philosophical Association 2019 Meeting

The Central States Philosophical Association (CSPA) invites submissions of papers, in any area of philosophy, to be presented at our 2019 Meeting, which will be held on October 18th and 19th at Washington University in St. Louis, where the keynote speaker will be Ishani Maitra (University of Michigan).

Papers should be no longer than 3,000 words.

You need not be a member of an institution in the central states area to participate.

Submissions should be sent by e-mail, using the subject heading “CSPA submission,” to jbrunero2@unl.edu.  The deadline for submissions is June 15th, 2019.  Decisions are expected by the end of July.

Submissions should include two separate documents:

  1. A cover page that includes the title of the paper, the author’s name and email address, an abstract for the paper (not longer than 150 words), and the philosophical area for the paper (e.g. aesthetics, feminist philosophy, philosophy of law).
  2. A copy of the paper, prepared for blind review, with all identifying information removed (including in the file name).

All documents should be sent as Word or PDF files.

Suggestions and questions regarding the program, including suggestions for commentators and session chairs (including self-nominations), should be directed to CSPA Vice-President John Brunero at jbrunero2@unl.edu.

Questions concerning local arrangements should be directed to CSPA President Allan Hazlett at ahazlett@wustl.edu.
